Ariana is best known for her iconic role as Lex Murphy in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster Jurassic Park (1993). As the clever, computer-savvy granddaughter of John Hammond, Richards delivered a memorable performance that helped make the film a cultural phenomenon. Her energetic portrayal of a resourceful teen facing down dinosaurs earned her widespread recognition and a place in cinematic history.
Before her breakthrough, Richards built an impressive resume as a child actress. She appeared in the cult comedy I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988), the holiday classic Prancer (1989), the Kevin Bacon horror film Tremors (1990) as Mindy Sterngood, and Spaced Invaders (1990).
