Joseph Mazzello is an acclaimed actor whose career spans from beloved child roles in blockbuster films to compelling performances in dramas and miniseries.
He burst onto the scene as a young talent in the early 1990s, most memorably portraying Tim Murphy, the quick-witted grandson in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park (1993). That same year, he starred alongside Meryl Streep in The River Wild and Anthony Hopkins in Shadowlands.
Other notable early credits include Radio Flyer, Simon Birch, and a return to the dinosaur franchise with a cameo in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
As an adult, Mazzello was cast as Eugene Sledge in HBO’s critically acclaimed World War II miniseries The Pacific (2010), produced by Spielberg and Tom Hanks. That same year, he portrayed Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz in David Fincher’s The Social Network. He played the Queen bassist John Deacon in the global hit biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).
His television credits includes roles in Justified, Person of Interest, Elementary, and Impeachment: American Crime Story.
