This year marks the 40th Anniversary of The Goonies and Kerri was already going to be in our area after a special Goonies Weekend in Astoria. We are excited that our schedules have lined up this year to have her join us at Summer Con.
Kerri Green is an actress, writer, and director best known for her roles in 1980s teen films. She was cast as Andrea “Andy” Carmichael in the 1985 adventure-comedy The Goonies. The cult classic, grossing $124 million worldwide, marked her breakout role.
That same year, she played Jennifer Chester, the daughter of John Candy’s character, in the comedy Summer Rental, earning a Young Artist Award nomination.
In 1986, Green delivered a critically acclaimed performance as Maggie in Lucas, a coming-of-age drama starring Corey Haim and Charlie Sheen, earning another Young Artist Award nomination. She reunited with Sheen in 1987’s Three for the Road, playing Robin, the rebellious daughter of a senator.
Green returned to acting in the 1990s with roles in TV movies like Tainted Blood (1993) and Blue Flame (1993). She appeared in TV series including Mad About You (1992), Murder, She Wrote (1994), ER (1998) as Lynn Parker, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001) as Michelle.
