We have tried to book Ryan Ottley since 2021, and this is our year! Please welcome Ryan Ottley to an amazing Creator Lineup at the 2024 Washington State Summer Con in Puyallup from June 21st through the 23rd. Ryan is one of the most popular comic book artists right now, best known for his work on Image Comics’ Invincible and Marvel Comics’ Amazing Spider-Man.
Ottley began drawing Invincible with issue 8, and continued on the book for 14 years, drawing 127 issues of its 144-issue run. During his work on the series, he co-created characters including Battle Beast, Angstrom Levy, Conquest, and Powerplex.
Ryan is a contributing creator on the series that designed and co-created a large part of the INVINCIBLE universe with writer Robert Kirkman and is the primary artist for 127 issues of the 144 issue run. It is now an animated TV series on Amazon Prime Video that Ottley works as a consultant.
After INVINCIBLE, Ottley went to Marvel and did 20 issues of Amazing Spider-Man with writer Nick Spencer. He later was the artist on HULK with writer Donny Cates. Ottley finished the run as both the writer and the artist.
