We are excited to welcome one more Star Wars actress to the Pacific Northwest this June. Bonnie Piesse is coming to the Washington State Summer Con in Puyallup on June 17th-19th.
Bonnie portrayed Beru Whitesun in Star Wars: Episodes II and III, and is also reprising her role as “Aunt” Beru in the newest Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series will air its first episode on May 27th. That puts Summer Con right in between episode 4 and 5 of the series. Pretty, pretty cool.
Originally from Australia, Bonnie first got into show business when she was 14. In her first role, she played a Trapeze artist in the Australian children’s television show, High Flyers. Bonnie acted in other Australian TV shows, including Blue Heelers, Stingers, Horace & Tina, and Last Man Standing.
Then came the job that has garnered her the most attention, by not only Australian audiences, but the world, as Luke Skywalker’s foster mother, “Beru Whitesun”, in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
Bonnie then moved to LA where she began her music career. Her debut album, “The Deep End”, was released in January of 2011 on Big Deal Records. As a singer-songwriter, Bonnie has released two solo EP’s (‘Bittersweet’ and ‘Found’) and has had songs and compositions featured in TV shows and films including her song, “All I Have”, was featured on Life Unexpected on the CW network. Bonnie currently lives in Portugal and Los Angeles with her husband Mark Vicente.
