We commissioned Russ to create a very special piece of art for one of our entertainment guests, John Ratzenberger. We wanted a unique piece that celebrated all of John’s Pixar characters and movie roles, and knew Russ had the perfect style to pull it off.

“Cliff’s Place” will be available as prints at theWashington State Summer Con at his booth. Russ will also be taking commission orders at the show for a limited run of “Cliff’s Place” hand-painted cels. An original framed cel will be presented to John at the show.

Russ is an illustrator and animator from Graham, and has been involved heavily with the Summer Con since July of last year. Russ was the artist that illustrated our Summer Con robot in all of its many versions. He also designed the pin set that was announced a few weeks ago.

Over the years, Russ has illustrated hundreds of original designs used in the production of enamel pins. He has worked on projects for Disney, the Hard Rock Cafe, and recently has been working with FiGPiN on a number of their newer products.

Russ has a passion for cartooning, and is known for his hand painted animation cels, which set him apart from other artists, taking the traditional, lost art of cel painting and putting it back into the forefront of his merchandise.

Russ has also published his book “The Secret Life of Ewoks” that won the Best New Publication award form the Cartoonists Society of the PNW, and will be debuting his second volume at Summer Con.
